during a thunderstorm

Caption:
 
     On the day 19th January 1871 being the Italian Brick Diadema, Capt.n Luigi Olivari, in the vicinities of Cape Finisterre, Coast of Portugal, in Lat.de 42° 20' N. - Long.de 8° 55' meridian of Greewich, with thunderstorm from O-E crossways of the coast, had for salvation to follow for the port of Vigo and in entering in it she was in great danger because at too close distance from breaking off sea rollers and for the cliffs located on the right hand entering, and it was dark and the haze. V.F.G.A.". 

Notes:

        The require of this offer must be carried out nearly simultaneously to another order of a similar "portrait" of the same ship to the painter Domenico Gavarrone (Shipsails of Camogli, Genoa 1984, p. 37) and by him signed the 2nd june of the same year 1871, in which the ship risked to shatter against the coast near Vigo.
